We found this nice little cafe & restaurant called Björk Hemslöjden & Cafe in Sendai. It may be hard to find though as it is someones house which looks like a house in a row of houses :). However, it was a really beautiful place. Gorgeous garden and the interior had a lot of Finnish influence. We felt so at home there, with the Aalto-chairs, Iittala-candleholders and Korvapuusti and good coffee. It was a bit over priced though and the Korvapuusti's were close, but not quite.
Hence why we bought some cinnamon, cardamom, flour and the rest to do our own Korvapuusti's (in the smallest oven ever..). Yes, that is an oven indeed (combined with a toaster and a microwave). These are the ovens they have in Japan :) and they do not come bigger. But it did the job well :) and we all enjoyed the home made cinnamon buns.
