Seeing the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles play. Great team and good game! Amazing atmosphere and supporters singing the most catchiest (and probably most beautiful) chants ever. The kids were so excited that they asked straight after when is the next game, even though they had just been sitting in the burning sun for 3,5-4 hours :). Food was available throughout stadium (i.e. KFC, ramen bars) as was drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic) and they even came to serve it to your seat.
Visiting BenyLand. This is a small funfair with only few rides, but it's on top of a mountain so the views were great. Our favourite ride was definitely the Viking boat... No queues anywhere, and although most of the rides looked worn it was still a great day out. The lack of queues made up for the cost of entry.
Sendai Uminomori Aquarium. You could easily spend several hours here. We thought it was definitely worth the money, the dolphin show was good and feeding the penguins was great fun :). A great day out for families but also for curious adults, so much to learn if you have the time.
