Hinamatsuri 雛祭り (by Taru & Tara)

It was Hinamatsuri on the 3rd March in Japan. Hinamatsuri is also called the Dolls Day or the Girls Day and it is known as the pinkest day of the year 😃. Hinamatsuri is for praying for the happiness and health and growth of girls. Families with young daughters therefore mark the day by setting up a display of dolls in their homes - a tradition which dates back to the Heian period.

We got two dolls from Tara's school friend - she and her mum had made the dolls for us themselves! 💕 They knew we had a chihuahua back at home in Finland, whom we missed dearly, so they decided to make a chihuahua Hinaningyou for us.
